WHEN A BIRTHDAY BECOMES MORE

 September 25th…

For years, this day has slipped by like any other.

I’ve never been the type to circle my birthday on a calendar or count down the days in excitement, taking studio pictures and doing all the pre-birthday things. Once, I even forgot it altogether until someone called to wish me a happy birthday, and I laughed at how easily it slipped my mind.

I’ve carried birthdays with a kind of quiet indifference. Not because life didn’t matter or I wasn’t grateful, no. But because I lived each day as though it was just another, and September 25th often passed without the need to make much of it.

Yet… this year feels different.

This year, September 25th carries more weight, more meaning, more light.

Because this year, I’m not just celebrating my birth… I am also celebrating the birth of a dream.

25TH SCENTS.

My brand. My vision. My identity. My little seed that has grown for a full year now.

And for the first time, I feel the call to pause, unwind, breathe it all in — and truly celebrate.

A Journey Of Growth

Looking back, the past year has been a mixture of solitude, lessons, and unexpected growth.

I remember when I nursed this dream in my heart. The drive was strong, almost terrifying. At some point, I began to doubt if it would ever be possible. Until I confided in a friend, and the next thing I heard was:

“So you’ve cooked something as sweet as this and you’re dragging your feet? What’s keeping you from starting now?”

That push was the spark I needed.

Of course, there were moments when I still doubted myself, when the path felt unclear, when I wondered if this dream was too fragile to survive. But step by step, and with constant encouragement from that same friend, I learned something:

Growth is never loud. Sometimes it’s as quiet as persistence, as steady as showing up, as strong as believing even when no one is watching.

And in many ways, 25th Scents has mirrored my own journey.

I’ve grown alongside it.

I’ve found strength in its unfolding.

I’ve discovered patience, resilience, and the beauty of nurturing something that carries a piece of my soul.

A New Kind of Gratitude

So today, I choose gratitude.

Not the loud kind, not the stage-and-spotlight kind — but the deep kind. The kind that hums quietly in the heart. The kind that makes you close your eyes, breathe deeply, smile, and whisper thank you for life, for growth, for vision… for another year.

I am grateful for the gift of breath.

I am grateful for the lessons that shaped me.

I am grateful for the courage to build, to create, to keep going.

I am grateful for the amazing people I have come across.

I am grateful for family and for love.

And most of all, I am grateful for the chance to celebrate, not because the world says I should, but because I finally feel it within me.

Looking Ahead

As I step into this new year of my life, and as 25th Scents steps into another year of its journey, I carry one promise with me: to honor growth, no matter how small.

Because birthdays are not just about age.

And anniversaries are not just about time.

They are reminders that life is moving, expanding, becoming.

And so am I.
